Do you enjoy the outdoors, taking in all of God's creation? Are you adventurous? Do you enjoy being around people that enjoy a challenge? Don't mind getting a little dirty? Offroading may just be your thing. No - not mudding, offroad rock crawling. Check out this blog and find an empty seat on an upcoming wheeling trip. You might get hooked, like my son and I did!

Clayton, OK in January 06'

Back to Clayton with Todd Yonkman, Matthew, Bob Draughn and his son Bobby Draughn. Awesome weather once again. This is Todd's 2nd outing in his new yellow FJ40 and it is really sweet. By next month he will have his new WARN 9.5ti winch mounted. No carnage this trip but Matthew and I both had some power steering issues. Meanie needs a new Saginaw and Big Tex is going to take a trip to visit the folks at PSC Performance to get the hydraulic issues fixed once and for all.

We wheeled in town (Green Acres) on Saturday and Sunday. We hit just about all the trails and a few several times. Slim (David Williams of Slim's Offroad) even joined us for some goofin' around on Saturday afternoon with a bunch of newbie jeepers looking on. Big Tex climbed up a pretty steep ledge at the top of Wet n' Wild. How tall was it? Todd (standing beside Big Tex) is about 6'2".

On Sunday, we hit Three Stages, lower Cakewalk and 8 point. I took Big Tex up the upper half of Black Sheep.

Big Tex makes Toyota Trails Issue

Check out the December / January issue of Toyota Trails. Nolen Grogan's Outside the Box article is on Proffitts Cruisers (http://www.proffittscruisers.com) and shows some pictures of the 4-link rig Jeremiah built for me. You can see part of the article at http://www.tlca.org/trails/otb/index.html but you have to be a member of TLCA to view the entire article. Here is a current picture of Big Tex.
